Transform: T-shirts

Last week, I purchased something I've wanted for quite a long time.
That is a MANNEQUIN!!!!
Well, actually I wanted a dress form to do some sewing, but I found a second-hand mannequin of my size, so I thought, "Why not?"
To celebrate it, I transformed a T-shirt as follows:

You may remember this T-shirt from “Tutorial: stencil on T-shirts”(http://hirokohandmade.blogspot.com/2011/05/tutorial-stencil-on-t-shirts.html),originally it was a plain, pale pink T-shirt.
I stenciled some birds with white paint on it about 2 weeks ago.

And today I cut out around the neck wider and attached a motif of a feather. Cutting wider around the neck is not easy to do on the table. Definitely having my mannequin helped me cut it out evenly, nice and round.

Now it’s my turn to wear it!

What do you think? Does it look good on me!?

I’m still feeling blue.

A week has passed since my phone died. And I am still feeling blue. There are four reasons.
1. I caught a cold on the day my phone died. Sore throat was really annoying and now I am still bothered by mucus in my lung and sinus.

2. Because I was sick, I couldn’t do any crafting nor updating of my blog. I didn’t have any motivation or any good inspiration. It was quite frustrating to me.

3. My husband and I went to the cell phone shop last Saturday to buy a new phone for him and me.
However we found that the internet price and shop price of the phones are different. And the price on the internet was cheaper. In the end, we decided to order the phone through the internet and wait for them to be delivered to our house. It means my phone-less days will be continued, maybe till this weekend.

4.Yesterday, our house was attacked by bees. Yeah, not beads but actual insect bees.
We could hear their buzzing sound from the air vent in our bathroom. And we found at least 15 bees in our house!!!! OH NOOOO!!!!! In the end, my husband found that those bees came into our house through a tiny hole between the roof and wall. He sprayed tons of insecticide into the hole and those bees died instantly.

Anyways, those are the downs recently I went through.
I should mention some ups, too. My husband and I decided to update our antique cell phones to smart phones.
And this is what we chose:

I hope this phone is cool. First thing is I need to learn how to use it. If you have this phone, please let me know how good/bad it is.

It is a toothpick holder!!!!

This produced is produced by Italian design company called “Alessi”. They design very modern/stylish ,yet funny and cute stuff.

The name of this particular item is "Magic Bunny Toothpick Holder" and they have different choice of colors.

I wanted to have a black hat and a white bunny version to be honest, but I found mine from the garage sale and it was $1!!!

And if you buy it from the shop, normally it costs me $30!

I decided to compromise about the color to save $29. Don’t you think that it was the wise choice?

I love this product. It’s very cute but also very functional like “Matryoshka measuring cup”. Very easy to pick the toothpicks.

The one small complaint is the company describes this bunny’s color as “pink”

But to me, it looks an orange bunny with the pink-purple magic hat ‘cause first photo is exactly how it looks like in person.

However I shouldn’t complain at all since I got it A DOLLAR!!!!

My favorite cooking tool 1

I love something cute yet practical.
If it's just cute and not practical, I normally don't purchase it.
Nor if it's just practical and not good design, I won' buy it either.
And this is what I fall in love with recently!
